Norah started with the City as a 911 call-taker and dispatcher in 2006. In 2011 she was working as a BSA supporting the Computer Aided Dispatch system and it's many interfaces. This role included being on call 24x7x365 without adequate compensation. In 2016 Norah moved to Revenue and works on Integrated Tax System which went live in September 2020. 2019 and 2020 involved lots more unpaid hours. Norah values union representation which enables workers to negotiate for higher wages, benefits, and improve workplace conditions.
