Will is a Housing Inspector, Sr. with PP&D (formerly BDS) and has held multiple positions with the City since 2013. As a code enforcement official, enforcing the contract comes naturally for him. He has played a key role in enforcing grievances, supporting employees during the layoff process, and securing multiple contract amendments. Will's dedication to service and leadership has been life-long with over 18 years (and continuing) of reserve service in the Army National Guard. As a husband and father of three boys, Will is no stranger to challenges of the work-life balancing act. Outside of work you might catch him golfing, fishing, or playing poker. Will firmly believes that work doesn't have to suck and that we are all deeper and more complex beings than who we are at work.
Will accepted the role of Chief Steward in September of 2024 to complete the 2022-2024 term. He has declined nomination for re-election for the 2025-2027 term so tha the may focus his time and energy on family priorities. Local 189 is thankful to Will for his willingness to quickly and effectily step in to the role and ensure continuity of operations during our leadership transition.
